Course Objective

This SA8000:2026 Lead Auditor Training is designed to develop the competence required to plan, conduct, lead, and manage first-party, second-party, and third-party audits of Social Accountability Management Systems.

The program provides an in-depth understanding of SA8000:2026 requirements, international labour standards, human rights principles, and risk-based auditing approaches. Participants will acquire the skills to lead audit teams, evaluate compliance with social accountability requirements, and ensure ethical and effective audit practices across organizations and supply chains.

The course emphasizes audit leadership, stakeholder engagement, ethical decision-making, and continual improvement, enabling professionals to contribute to responsible business practices and sustainable supply chains.

Prerequisite

• Basic knowledge of SA8000, social compliance, or labour rights principles is recommended
• Prior experience in auditing, HR, compliance, ESG, or management systems is desirable
• Understanding of international frameworks such as ILO conventions, human rights standards, or ISO management systems will be an added advantage
• Completion of Internal Auditor training (preferred but not mandatory)

Certification Exam Guidelines

Examination Format:

• The certification exam comprises multiple-choice and descriptive questions designed to assess the comprehension of the Body of Knowledge.
• The exam will be conducted online and is available only in English.
• Passing score >70%

Course Validity & Exam Timeline:

• Learners must take the final exam within 3 months of purchasing the course.
• Course access will remain available throughout the designated access period as applicable.

Note: Attempting the exam after one year will require an additional fee.

Certification:

• E-certificates will be issued upon successful completion of the exam.
• E-certificates will be delivered within 7 working days after passing the exam.
